FAQs

Why choose MAADI Group?

MAADI Group is a specialized aluminum engineering and manufacturing partner — not simply a dock supplier or welding shop. We design and manufacture custom aluminum floating docks, marina systems, waterfront structures, and pedestrian bridges engineered for longterm performance in demanding marine environments.

Led by inhouse Professional Engineers and Naval Architects (P.Eng./PE) specializing exclusively in aluminum, our solutions are codecompliant, structurally optimized, and engineered to withstand corrosion, wave action, high winds, ice loads, and continuous waterfront exposure, while minimizing lifecycle maintenance.

As experienced aluminum engineering specialists and manufacturers, we support projects from concept development and detailed engineering through fabrication, installation supervision, and final inspection. Our vertically integrated designbuild approach ensures full control over quality, schedules, and technical performance.

MAADI Group operates with CWBcertified inhouse welding engineering (including IWE certification), aligned global quality systems, and industryleading warranties covering manufacturing defects and corrosion mitigation. With proven leadership since 2005 and active participation in international technical forums and advisory groups (INALCO, NATO NIAG, AAC), we deliver engineered aluminum marine infrastructure built to perform for decades.

What types of aluminum structures do you design and build?

MAADI Group designs and manufactures highperformance aluminum structures for marine, infrastructure, and specialized industrial applications. Our core expertise includes custom aluminum floating docks and complete marina systems, such as floating docks, wave attenuators, gangways, ferry landings, and access walkways, all engineered for longterm durability in harsh waterfront environments.

Approximately 65% of MAADI Group’s clients are global engineering firms, and we regularly collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during earlystage design to evaluate whether aluminum is the optimal solution—technically, economically, and operationally. This frontend engineering involvement enables projects to be optimized from concept through execution.

We also specialize in the engineering and manufacturing of aluminum bridge systems, including pedestrian bridges, modular bridge kits, tactical and emergency bridges (civil and military), bridge decking systems, commercial and military vessel access systems, and other structural aluminum components. In addition, we design and fabricate custom aluminum structures for clients worldwide, such as stairs, work platforms, maintenance structures, offshore mooring dolphin service walkways, and specialty engineered assemblies tailored to projectspecific requirements.

All MAADI Group structures are engineered, manufactured, and qualitycontrolled in Canada by our inhouse team of Professional Engineers, Welding Engineers, certified welders, and aluminum specialists, ensuring code compliance, structural optimization, and long service life in demanding operating conditions.

What geographical areas do you serve?

MAADI Group supports projects across North America and internationally. From our manufacturing facilities in Québec, Canada, we deliver engineered aluminum docks, marina systems, bridges, and waterfront structures throughout Canada and the United States, as well as select international markets, including the Caribbean, Asia and the Bahamas.

Our aluminum structures are designed for efficient transport and installation, allowing assemblies to be shipped by flatbed trailer or container for onsite installation worldwide. This logistics flexibility enables MAADI Group to support projects in remote, coastal, and infrastructureconstrained locations while maintaining the same engineering quality and performance standards.

Is aluminum an environmentally friendly material for marine environments?

Yes, aluminum is a strong eco-choice for waterfront builds because it’s 100% recyclable and reusable at end-of-life, and recycling aluminum scrap uses only a small fraction of the energy needed to make new aluminum. In marine environments, aluminum’s natural oxide layer helps it resist corrosion without chemical treatments, and MAADI Group specifies marine-grade alloys and detailing (like isolation for dissimilar metals) to help prevent galvanic corrosion in saltwater.

What is the process for starting a custom dock or bridge project?

MAADI Group follows a structured, engineeringdriven process to ensure every custom dock, marina system or bridge project is optimized for performance, safety, and longterm durability.

1. Project Inquiry & Quotation

The process begins with a request for quotation. Clients share key project information such as location, intended use, schedule, product type, and any available drawings, photos, or site data.

2. Engineering Review & Feasibility

Our engineering team reviews sitespecific conditions, including loads, wind and wave forces, buoyancy requirements, mooring conditions, environmental exposure, and applicable design codes to confirm feasibility and establish design parameters.

3. Design & Planning

We develop 2D and 3D models, dock sizing, marina layouts, and detailed engineering drawings. This phase ensures the system is structurally optimized, codecompliant, and tailored to the project’s operational needs.

4. Fabrication in Canada

All structures are manufactured inhouse in Canada under strict quality controls, including qualityaligned processes, certified welding procedures, and engineering Oversight.

5. Delivery, Installation & Inspection

Completed systems are shipped ready for assembly and installed by certified installation teams or under MAADI Group supervision. Final engineering
