TD Place Stadium

Architecture, Custom Pedestrian Bridges
Ontario, Canada

Project Specifications

A new sports complex in Canada needed a footbridge so fans could safely cross over a service road leading into the stadium. The sleek bridge design features a Warren-type truss structure as the main girder, with an extruded aluminum pony-truss framework. Aluminum side guardrails and fencing spaced closely together act as a child safety feature, and Ipe hardwood decking prevents slipping and skidding. The pre-assembled bridge was installed by 4 workmen and one crane operator in just 6 hours using a 110-ton capacity crane.
