MakeABridge in Architectural Products April Issue

July 01, 2011

The MAADI Group engineering firm, specializing in bridge building, design and construction, has its patented Make-A-Bridge pedestrian bridge for commercial, industrial and marine applications featured in Architectural Products April issue.

July 1, 2011—MONTREAL, CANADA – The publication’s Product Developments section discusses the unique MakeABridge® installation at the Bota Bota-Spa-sur l’eau luxury spa, which is permanently docked at the Quays of the Old Port of Montreal, Quebec.

The full-color, half-page AP article shows the entryway pedestrian bridge providing the main access from the spa boat’s barge to the land, and also refers to the four emergency exit footbridges for the Bota Bota spa. The article points to MakeABridge’s interlocking extruded aluminum members’ lightweight structural strength as “Bridging the Gap… in modern bridge building construction process for all types of pedestrian bridge connections.” The magazine’s April edition was also distributed at the American Institute of Architects national convention in May in New Orleans, Louisiana, broadening MakeABridge’s reach to include architectural professionals and product specifiers in commercial and institutional design.

MAADI Group president and CEO, Alexandre de la Chevrotière is thrilled to receive such prominent coverage of their aluminum truss bridge structure in such a prestigious trade publication. “We have always known that our MakeABridge design has the potential to re-invent sustainable bridge building. MAADI Group is especially pleased that the editors of Architectural Products recognize that our pre-fabricated aluminum Meccano-style bridge design is highly newsworthy for architects in real-world civil engineering projects. As our footbridges continue to receive coverage in the trade press, MakeABridge will have the opportunity to reach more and more architectural, building and construction professionals. We strongly believe that innovation in how bridges are built, coupled with our commitment to using sustainable and recyclable materials such as aluminum will transform bridge infrastructure throughout North America and around the world,” says de la Chevrotière.
