Custom pedestrian bridges spanning Rideau River in Canada

Project Specifications

Faced with swelling water levels in the spring thaw, a small town in Ontario sought to replace an existing pedestrian bridge that had become too low to be safe. We built a multi-span arched pony truss bridge that sits above the high-water mark and customized it with Ipe hardwood decking and aluminum guardrails with vertical picket railings, creating a safe four-season pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.
